History of LTI Optics

In 2006, Lighting Technologies was acquired by Musco Sports Lighting. A result of this purchase was the creation of LTI Optics, LLC to carry on the optical design software and consulting portion of Lighting Technologies. We are committed to enhancing and supporting the industry's leading optical design software, Photopia, for the long-term.

The formation of LTI Optics will allow us to dedicate resource to improving Photopia, additional library developments, and optical design consulting to keep up with the increasing demand. As a Photopia customer, you should see an enhanced level of service with LTI Optics.

LTI Optics will be operating as an independent entity and will maintain its confidential relationships with customers just as Lighting Technologies has always done.

History of Lighting Technologies

Lighting Technologies was founded in Boulder, Colorado in 1982. Its mission was always to provide the highest quality design and analysis tools for the lighting industry. LTI's Lumen Micro was one of the first pieces of lighting application software written for personal computers, and Lumen Designer carried on the tradition of being an innovative program, taking advantage of the advanced rendering capabilities with today's computers. LTI's products and services included the following:
